Accessible homeownership with low-cost housing options

A low-cost home is not the same as shared ownership or housing association; we work with Herefordshire country council to provide a certain number of low-cost homes in each of our developments. With new launches in Stoke Lacy and Little Dewchurch in 2026, this could be the right time to take the first step towards home ownership!

What’s the Difference?

A Low-Cost home when bought is entirely yours! Subject to criteria set by Herefordshire County council, you can purchase the house at a discounted rate to open market. There are certain eligibility criteria that you need to meet.

Current criteria: Low cost home ownership terms and conditions

We would love to welcome you to our show homes, you can meet the sales team and more importantly see your new property first hand. We’re on hand to answer any questions you may have about the process, site plans and timelines. However, to make your reservation we do need to see the approved application from Herefordshire County Council.

How can I buy one?

Contact Herefordshire County council either on housingdevelopment@herefordshire.gov.uk or call 01432 260269 they will let you know when applications are open and send you an application pack. Following your application, Herefordshire County council will contact you letting you know whether your application was successful or not, they will only contact the sales team at Bell homes if your application is successful. When your application is successful you can then contact us to book a ‘Pre-reservation’ appointment.
